Seemingly rust free S30 280z. Manual! I want it badly but I haven’t seen it drive in years. This is actually the first time I’ve seen it in a different spot, which is because they are repainting parking spaces around my neighborhood.

We have! I think I will, they finish painting the curbs and parking spaces tomorrow morning so I'm hoping to catch the owner moving the car back, if not I'll be leaving a note.

Left a note, poured rain last night so I don’t think they saw it. Hoping to catch them move the car off the street, if not I’m leaving another note (probably in a plastic bag!)

Got any pictures of your Z? I feel like the 280z is a better fit for me, never worked on carbs before!

Here’s how it looked last year. Drove it home 8 hours and I didn’t kill my back.

The Z is a very comfortable car. The one you’re looking at looks like a 74. Nice because it has less emissions nonsense.

Looks great! What engine is going in yours? I’m not super skilled under the hood so I’m planning on just keeping the L28, maybe swapping a 5 speed in from a later car if I can get some help. I gotta get the car first though! Love the roadster too! Imagine an F20c in that..

I’ll be keeping my L28. It’s a wonderfully smooth motor. I do plan on changing the internals and doing head work to up the horsepower.

Mine’s a 5 speed and it cruises at 80mph at about 3k rpm. I really missing driving it now that it’s in 500 pieces.

If I did an engine swap I’d have to go SR20!

I really like I6 engines so I’m likely gonna end up just keeping and enjoying the L28. Good to know I can take it out on the highway! What started your rebuild, did the engine blow or just modifying it?

I really like the color combo as well, very British! I'll try to get a few more pictures next time I pass by it.

The infamous Datsun rust. Plus it needed a new clutch and clutch master cylinder.

Hopefully it’ll be put back together soon! If I’m lucky I’ll be able to get this cheap enough where I won’t feel bad if there’s a small amount of rust. I really don’t know what to offer though, pretty sure the car doesn’t run, I haven't seen it move in years and apparently when it was moved to the street a few days ago it had to be pushed out there (according to another neighbor).

I paid less than $5k for mine and it was running, just to help you ball park. 87,000 miles were on it.

Left a note in a plastic bag (because rain) on Saturday morning, Saturday night we had a huge storm. The note is gone but I don't know if it blew away in the wind or if the owner grabbed it, car still hasn't been moved back off the street yet.

I left work around lunch time today, every time I leave my neighborhood I purposely come to a stop with my windows down, staring at the car hoping the owner notices. I’m not a big runner/jogger, but since it’s been on the street it’s gotten me outside to enjoy the weather haha!
